PandoraHealth
Safe AI for health and care
Funding • care • responsible use

AI that supports people in health, resilience and self-reliance.

PandoraHealth develops and explores AI applications for health and care. Safety, alignment with existing care, and European regulatory frameworks are design principles, not requirements added after the fact.

The work covers two application areas: mental resilience, and prevention and self-reliance. In both, AI supports the person without taking over the role of healthcare professionals.

What “safe” means

Safety is not an add-on but a design principle. This includes clear boundaries, transparency about limitations, data minimisation, and explicit guidance towards appropriate support when needed.

What we do not do
  • no medical diagnosis or treatment recommendations,
  • no replacement of healthcare professionals,
  • no claims without supporting evidence,
  • no deployment without validation.
Application areas
Mental resilience

Safe, AI-supported reflection in situations of mental and moral strain. The focus is on contexts where careful design and responsibility are essential, such as mental healthcare and public safety environments.

These applications are explicitly not therapy and do not replace professional care. AI is positioned as a first, safe conversational partner, supporting the structuring of thoughts and the recognition of moments where referral to professional support may be appropriate.

Prevention and self-reliance
Under research

A research direction in preparation, aimed at AI that supports older adults in living at home safely and independently.

The direction combines wearable technology with voice interaction, with attention to timely signalling, coaching and reassurance. Alignment with existing care and emergency response chains is a starting point, not a later addition.

This direction is being explored with knowledge and industry partners.

For funding bodies

Clear scope, a testable approach, documented safety principles, and alignment with European regulatory frameworks.

For care and prevention

Designed as a complement to existing care and support structures, with attention to boundaries, referral, and professional context.
